Deadline Extended! Mather LifeWays Institute on Aging Promising Practices Award

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of Mather LifeWays Institute on Aging, we are launching a national award program to identify promising practices developed in organizations that have participated in our LEAP and PREPARE programs.

Our goal is to learn what practice(s) have been instituted in the areas of culture change, person-directed care, or emergency preparedness, and how your organization is benefiting since implementing these programs.

You could be one of the four organizations with the best promising practice(s) selected as a winner!

First Place LEAP and PREPARE Winners will receive:
An $800 education certificate redeemable for any Mather LifeWays Institute on Aging train-the-trainer workshop, webinar, or online course.

Second Place LEAP and PREPARE Winners will receive:
A $500 education certificate redeemable for any Mather LifeWays Institute on Aging train-the-trainer workshop, webinar, or online course.

Plus…
Two LEAP and two PREPARE winners (each with first and second place awards) will:

• Be featured in the National Promising Practices Report
• Receive a plaque distinguishing the winners as leaders
• Have a press release about their award sent to their local newspapers
• Be invited to participate in a panel discussion at a well-respected conference
• Receive a Mather LifeWays Institute on Aging toolkit
• Be profiled on the Mather LifeWays website

And, every organization that submits an application will:

• Have their promising practice(s) recognized in our National Promising Practices Report
• Receive a free copy of the National Promising Practices Report
• Receive a subscription to Mather LifeWays aging in action e-newsletter
• Receive a Mather LifeWays Orange Paper and PowerPoint presentation entitled "The Shift towards Cultural Competency in the Nursing Care of Older Patients," which discusses cultural competency in organizations
