What is LEAP?

The LEAP Family of Programs provides senior living and long-term care communities with an innovative, yet practical, approach to providing person-centered care in their residences.

LEAP has been proven to result in measurable improvements in quality of care and satisfaction ratings among residents and families in senior living/long-term care communities.

LEAP uses a "train-the-trainer" instructional model, enabling senior living and long-term care communities to develop core experts who play a significant role in development of their own staff – a cost-effective way to get a full staff trained.

The LEAP Family of Programs:

There are three LEAP training programs to meet the individual needs of senior living and long-term care organizations:

Essentials of Culture Transformation is a program designed for senior living and long-term care communities that are early on the journey of culture change. It focuses on three key components to achieving a stable, empowered workforce: person-directed care, primary/consistent assignments, and peer mentoring. These three components, often called the “cornerstones of culture change” are critical elements to achieving a transformed culture enabling staff to become partners with residents and their families in creating a person-directed culture of care.

This program is available as a one-day workshop or as a three-part webinar series.

LEAP for Long-Term Care (LTC) Communities: Improving Workforce Retention and Resident Quality of Life is a comprehensive workforce development and retention program designed for nurse managers, staff nurses, and direct care workers. This award-winning program provides the essential tools and skills to: build positive relationships with residents and their families; foster capable work teams; develop effective communication techniques; feel valued and effective; and release "hidden" talents.
