What's involved?

Students receive secure login information to a password-protected website. First, they learn how to use the easy navigational tools, and once the six-part course begins, the class moves forward on weekly intervals to encourage discussion about specific topics each week.

Participants log on any time during the week for a few hours by reading the content and participating in discussion boards.  Parts of the course also include watching a video and listening to relaxation exercises. Each week, participants gain access to chapters of a guide book written specifically for this course.

Technical Requirements
There are minimal technical requirements for participation in Powerful Tools for Caregivers Online, such as Internet access, a computer, and an e-mail account. Special software and hardware are not needed, and plug-ins are available at no cost, if needed. Free technical assistance is available 24 hours a day via a toll-free number or by e-mail.
