Mather LifeWays Institute on Aging staff members are involved in designing, conducting, and promoting aging research in collaboration with nationally recognized leaders in the field. Our studies are funded by Mather LifeWays, government and foundation grants, and partnership agreements with other organizations.

While concentrating on wellness, the senior living workforce, caregivers, and memory support, our staff develops new educational programs and training materials for both Mather LifeWays' use and national dissemination. Current programs emphasize training of trainers, such as PREPARE, and LEAP,

The National Whole Person Wellness Survey contains tools to assess outcomes of Whole-Person Wellness, and creation and evaluation of customer service programs.  Click here to download the citations.

Online Courses...

The Institute on Aging also offers three different online courses for your educational needs.  Powerful Tools for Caregivers Online is designed specifically for the self care of the caregiver.  Making Sense of Memory Loss Online is available for both early stage and mid-late stage memory loss.  Geratric Nursing Online is new and provides training from gerontology experts in cutting-edge aging interventions research, and best practices that may be integrated into an organization or expand the knowledge base of a professional working in the field of aging.
