Mather LifeWays Ranked 16th on Chicago Tribune 100 Top Workplace List
Evanston-based Not-For-Profit Nominated by Employees

Mather LifeWays has been named one of the Top 100 Workplaces for 2010 in the Chicago area based on an independent survey conducted on behalf of the Chicago Tribune.

Employees of over 180 companies were surveyed to identify and rank finalists for the Top 100 Workplaces list. Divided into three categories: small (fewer than 250 employees), medium (250-999), and large (1,000 and above), surveyed companies employ a total of 212,756 people in the Chicago area. 128,430 Chicagoland employees received surveys, and 67,665 responded to a set of statements about their feelings toward their workplace focused on issues such as the direction of the company, execution, and conditions.

Mather LifeWays, a not-for-profit organization that has enhanced the lives of older adults for nearly 60 years by creating Ways to Age WellSM, was ranked 16th among mid-size companies. It is the sole Evanston employer and one of only 10 not-for-profit organizations to be recognized in the top 100 on the list.

In the surveys used to grade companies and organizations, employees anonymously shared why they enjoy working at Mather LifeWays:
