Ideal Participants:

The content of the train-the-trainer program is ideal for:

• nursing managers
• staff development coordinators
• activity directors
• other appropriate front-line staff

We recommend sending two “trainers”, who will be responsible for implementing the program in their residences, to attend the one-day workshop.

Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Requirements:

It is required for participating residences to send two trainers to the training session and .

• only Illinois nursing homes are eligible
• send 2 "trainers" to attend the workshop and implement the program at their nursing home
• provide community falls data pre- and post-program implementation to Malther LifeWays
