Making a move to a new community is an important
decision. At Splendido, we
focus on providing the information you need
to make the right choice. Our representatives
are available to answer questions, with the
following topics among those they hear about
most often:
What is a Continuing Care Retirement Community
(CCRC)?
For more than 40 years, CCRCs have been one
of the top lifestyle choices among adults across the nation. CCRCs offer exceptional value and
protection against the high costs of long-term
care. At a CCRC, a resident member’s active,
independent lifestyle is enhanced by having access
to a wide variety of resort-style services and
amenities. What really sets CCRCs apart
from other retirement options is their contractual
commitment to provide a full continuum of care
on-site. CCRCs may offer up to four levels of
living accommodations: independent living; assisted
living; memory support; and skilled nursing care,
with the cost of such care either partially
or fully covered by the entrance and monthly
fees.
Why does Splendido charge an Entrance Fee?
What does it cover?
In order to cover the costs of developing and
constructing Splendido with state-of-the-art
amenities and on-site health care, an Entrance
Fee is charged, which covers the cost of your
residence at the community, no matter how long
you reside at Splendido. The payment of your
entrance fee also ensures eligibility for the
benefits of the continuing care program. The
Entrance Fee at Splendido is 90% refundable,
providing valuable estate protection for you
and your family.
Why does Splendido charge a monthly fee?
What does it cover?
Your monthly fee covers the cost of all services
and ongoing expenses of the community, as well
as the cost of maintaining the community and
its furnishings. In addition, resident members
receive a 90-Day Plan health care benefit and have
the opportunity to apply for a Life Care Plan
for an additional charge.
How does Splendido differ from rental communities?
Most rental communities do not offer the CCRC
contractual commitment to provide a continuum
of care that includes independent living, assisted
living, memory support, and skilled nursing care,
if ever needed, with an inclusive health care
financial benefit. At many rental communities
in the area, residents who need such care must
make their own arrangements - and then often
must move to receive it and receive no discount
on the cost of the care. In addition to priority
access to the care continuum, major benefits
of a CCRC include a strong sense of community,
the peace of mind of knowing you have planned
for the future; spacious residences; a comprehensive
services and amenities package; a built-in social
network; and a maintenance-free lifestyle.
How is living at Splendido different from
living at an age-restricted ownership community?
Splendido resident members have priority access
to the on-site continuum of care, so you can
enjoy a beautiful, spacious a Terrace Home or
Villa, and maintain your active, worry-free lifestyle
- free from concerns about a future move to
accommodate health care needs, if they arise.
This access to quality health care on-site
protects you, your spouse, and your
family against the high cost of tomorrow's health
care expenses. Additionally, the
"bundling" of services and amenities
in an all-inclusive monthly fee, including interior and exterior maintenance;
housekeeping; transportation; and recreational,
social, and dining services, is a feature unique to CCRCs like
Splendido.
I am still active and independent. Why
should I consider Splendido now?
Splendido offers a vibrant and rewarding lifestyle
for those who are 55 and older. The wide spectrum of
services and amenities allows you to enjoy what
is important to you and have the freedom to
explore all your interests. Plus, you'll have
peace of mind, knowing you have a plan
in place for future health care needs.
If family or friends come to visit, can
they be accommodated?
Absolutely. Guests are always welcome at Splendido,
and the many beautiful common areas make for
easy entertaining. For an additional fee, guest
suites may be reserved.
