New Senior Wellness Approach Boosts Happiness

Holistic wellness programs are growing in popularity as a way to improve the quality of life of retirement community residents.

The Mather, a retirement community in Evanston, offers a rich menu of wellness activities. A favorite is brain aerobics, a program meant to exercise the mind. Puzzles and memory tests stretch thinking. Participants are encouraged to learn new things, or change daily routines to help develop neural pathways.
